LEXINGTON KY -- Florida Tile continues to expand its offerings of Travertine stone tile with two new colors plus a rustic look portfolio.
The first new stone, Silver, is the “cleanest” silver-and-white-veined travertine available. Unlike similar travertine stone products, Florida Tile’s is not the byproduct of unwanted stone. Rather, it is selected and quarried specifically for its absence of heavy yellow and brown veining which helps deliver a striking, precious metal brilliance.
Next, Scabos is quite the opposite, delivering bold veins of white, gold, brown and light travertine. Such features make Scabos a candidate for either an overall décor or for use as a great accent stone to coordinate with traditional light and brown travertines.
Silver and Scabos are the latest in an ever-expanding line, introduced initially in 2004 as part of Florida Tile’s PietraArt program as PietraArt (PA) Travertine. PA Chiseled Edge, PA Polished, and PA Mosaics followed in subsequent years. All travertine product lines have been aligned to feature the same colors: Light, Noce, Picasso and now Silver and Scabos.
In addition to the new stones, Florida Tile also introduced a new finish called Straight Edge Brushed. The brushed surface of these stones is gently undulating to give a timeless look to any floor. Along with the existing Chiseled Edge products, Straight Edge Brushed combines to make the new “PietraArt Rustic” portfolio.
According to Sean Cilona, marketing director for Florida Tile, “Travertine quickly became one of our most popular product offerings as customers discovered the beauty of natural stone and the ease of selecting with our porcelain, wall tile and decorative items. Because stone trends change quickly, we are excited to announce revitalized PietraArt travertine offerings with exciting new shapes, finishes, and stones.”
Cilona continued, “New mosaics will be available in all of the series, and the PietraArt Mosaics portfolio will get some stunning updates as well. While the classics will remain, we have added some great 3-dimensional mosaics, accent strips, and updated patterns. The design options are significant, especially when you consider the rising popularity of high-end back splashes,” Cilona added
