LEXINGTON, KY ⎯ Florida Tile has made another striking addition to its HDP High Definition Porcelain tile series with the launch of the large-format Stellar line for walls, countertops and floors.
“This is a bold statement in contemporary design,” says Sean Cilona, Marketing Director for Florida Tile. “For designers, architects and consumers alike, Stellar provides an earthy, sometimes trendy industrial color palette yet in sought-after modern tones that work in environments ranging from a country estate to a mid-town loft or upscale commercial setting.”
Stellar is a trough-body porcelain and is ADA compliant and appropriate for ALL residential and commercial wall and countertop applications and all residential and most commercial floor applications.
“The first thing one notices about Stellar is the smooth surface, evocative of minimalist styling and a sense of color movement provided by the graphics. The look has been likened to a fusion of stained concrete with metallic highlights. The through-body porcelain technique adds a dimension of multiple depths that makes the colors seem to melt together deep into the tile… kind of like staring out into space on a starry night,” Cilona said.
Stellar HDP is available in four colors: a mix of light, medium and dark grey (called Meridian, Nova and Nebula) along with a rust brown (Helio).
Stellar HDP by Florida Tile is available in the following contemporary large-format field tile sizes: 18x18, 12x24 and 24x24.
Additionally, each tile style is accompanied by two listello versions in matching colors yet with intriguing texture variations) and a large format 12x24 random strip mosaic. The line is complete, also offered featuring a complete portfolio of 24-inch bullnose, 12-inch cove base and cove base corners. “Together with the large formats, the ability to create a unique environment is endless,” Cilona said.
According to Cilona, “Technologically, HDP High Definition Porcelain signals a revolutionary new product category, not merely an advancement in traditional design. HDP uses digital printing in its most technically advanced glazing system in the tile industry today resulting in a much higher variety of looks and greater pattern randomness. Florida Tile was the first manufacturer to bring the HDP to the United States,” he added.
Stellar is GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Children and Schools Certified as well as Porcelain Tile Certified. This Florida Tile product contributes to US Green Building Council LEED points as well as ANSI-approved NAHB Green Building Points.
Additionally, Stellar contains up to 40% recycled content and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
