First Domestic Manufacturer To Offer Digitally Printed Product with Polished Finish
LEXINGTON, KY ⎯ Italian Breccia Marble, a staple of high-style floor and wall coverings for centuries, is available from Florida Tile in its newest line of High Definition Porcelain, Grandeur, unveiled today.
“As a glazed porcelain, Grandeur represents an industry first for Florida Tile, since it is available in both a natural and polished finish,” said Florida Tile Marketing Director Sean Cilona.
“Though others have tried, Florida Tile is the first domestic manufacturer to offer a digitally printed product with a polished finish, eliminating the porous, pitted surface common in prior attempts. The benefit of such painstaking research and development is a high-style polished product which will not harbor dirt or debris.”
Created using the latest in digital printing technology, the glazed porcelain Grandeur not only delivers the look of opulent marble dating back to the time of the Romans, it also delivers far better performance characteristics for every environment in the world, thanks to Florida Tile‘s advanced porcelain technology.
Cilona said, “This look of marble is a classic, timeless one. Grandeur delivers a natural, earthy color palette in five traditional Breccia Marble styles. The iconic, strong design features of multi-chromatic veining, a mix of bright white to medium gray throughout.”
The result is a multi-finish floor-wall combination, smooth to the touch in the polished version and slightly more resistant in the matte floor and wall collection. “The design is intended to create a multiple-finish floor-wall combination in this classic Breccia Marble,” said Cilona. “Think of the design possibilities.”
Polished and Rectified Grandeur is available in 17x17 and 8.5x17-inch formats in two colors (Imperial Ivory, Rich Honey) and is strictly for use in residential applications.
Natural Grandeur is available in 12x12, 18x18 and 9x18-inch formats in four colors (Magnificent Ivory, Elegant Amber, Rich Honey, Refined Brown) and can be used in both commercial and residential settings.
Grandeur is GREENGUARD® Certified, Porcelain Tile Certified, ADA Compliant and contains high recycled content (up to 40%).
