Rustic Travertine Natural Stone Collection For Floors & Walls Continues Florida Tile’s Expansion Of PietraArt Series

LEXINGTON KY -- Florida Tile adds yet again to its revitalized PietraArt line of natural stone offerings with the release of Rustic Travertine in four of today’s best selling colors for floors and walls.

The new Rustic Travertine is available in four most-sought-after contemporary earthen-hued colors: Ivory, Walnut, Picasso (rose tones) and Scabos (white, gold, brown and light travertine accents).

What makes it rustic? Florida Tile Marketing Director Sean Cilona points to the vintage, chiseled-edge version of one stone and the straight-edge, brushed surface of the other.

“The Straight Edge Brushed stones reveal a gently undulating surface for a timeless look to any floor, while the Chiseled Edge harkens to Old World hand craftsmanship,” he said.

“Unlike many other suppliers, Florida Tile’s Rustic Travertine features only the top, A-quality-rated natural stone which allows us to achieve such looks,” he said. “Lesser stone qualities do not have the color, color consistency or structural integrity to allow for this rustic appearance,” Cilona added.

The Rustic Travertine field tile is offered in four sizes: 8x8, 8x16, 16x16 and 16x24.

The new line was launched also with a palatial Versailles pattern as well as matching-stone, random-sized pattern (RSP) mosaics, chiseled for a natural appearance. The RSP Mosaics are available in all four colors.

“If we think as a designer and look at the many variations in color, style, size and mosaics, the creative décor opportunities presented by this line are truly endless,” said Cilona. “That’s even more true considering that the new Rustic Travertine collection also coordinates with the existing PietraArt Mosaics Series and Art Medallions!”

Florida Tile’s Launch of the Rustic Travertine follows last month’s release of two new travertine colors, Silver, the “cleanest” silver-and-white-veined travertine available, and Scabos in bold veins of white, gold, brown and light travertine.
